Mr & Mrs Steyn

Weddings are and always will be one of my favourites of all the important life events. Months of planning to get that delicate details right all culminate into the beauty and  raw emotion you experience on the day.

Danielle and Dirk got married on the 23rd of March. It was just 2 weeks before my own wedding so I was feeling extra sentimental about about it all!  They got married on the Farm that Danielle grew up on in Ceres, Langfontein, where her mom runs a guest house on the farm. I was lucky enough to head there the Friday already with my amazing assistant, Kaydee. We got there after dark and were barely parked  before we were handed a glass of champagne and were introduced to everyone. It was a beehive of activity as the bridesmaids were finishing up the guest favours.

Waking up to one of the most magnificent views I’ve ever experienced just made me realise what an amazing day lay ahead. As Danielle got ready, the family were finishing up the setup outside. It looked gorgeous – a picnic-styled wedding on a farm is a fantastic idea! Danielle arrived at the ceremony on a white horse – an image that left every guest with goosebumps! After a beautiful ceremony, we drove deeper into the farm for their couple photos. As a  self-confessed city girl, taking photos between a flock of sheep was a very new experience for me and definitely one I’ll never forget.

I’ve been itching to upload these photos since the wedding, so here they [finally] are!
