From the first day that Sylvia contacted me to ask that I take her engagement photos I have been jumping around with excitement! Not only because she’s the big sister of a close friend, but also because they wanted something a little different that would force me out of my comfortable environment. You know what they say, a change is as good as a holiday! And while I love being in my comfort zone, it is just so exciting to experience new things.
Francois and Sylvia got engaged on Christmas day of 2011 and thought it good to have some festive undertones to their photos. We decided on the V&A Waterfront as they had a big tree and fairy lights up all around the show. They live on the Guernsey Island in the English channel and wanted the photos done while they were in South Africa for a friend’s wedding.
What I loved most about this shoot was that I got to take clients to a new place. I love the waterfront and it was such an amazing setting for this couple to celebrate their love for one another!
