When it comes to writing about the weddings that I photograph, I can usually think of a few words to perfectly describe them. For Marius and Anel’s wedding it would be foodie heaven! These two were working as chefs at the time that they met and as it seems, good food has played an intricate part in their relationship. Marius was coincidentally working for Allesverloren, their wedding venue, at the time of meeting Anel so it was extra special to have them celebrate their love for each other there.
With the most perfect blush coloured tea length dress, Anel looked absolutely amazing. The look on Marius’ face when she was walking down the aisle, spoke a million words. So much effort was put into making this day unique and memorable – a photographer’s dream! And let me not forget to mention what a tough time I had choosing my favourite photos for this blog. If I could, I would have blogged all of them. The food was hands down some of the best I have had, ever! Excuse me for a minute while I relive the flavours. The starter blew my mind – a trio of Asian duck phyllo parcel, crispy pork belly, crunchy Asian salad and coconut tempura prawn. Need I say more? The mains were a personal platter of sirloin beef, Hungarian salami, biltong and droëwors, a selection of cheeses, preserved figs and onion marmalade. This all was accompanied by a 3 salads, artisan breads and farm butter.
I had an excellent time photographing this wonderful and perfect wedding. It has been such a pleasure getting to know Marius and Anel and I am sure they are as excited to look through this post as I am sharing it! Here are just a few of my favourites. Love, Adele
