Let me start this by saying that these two are absolutely meant to be! Marcel and Bianca are a perfect match, the kind of soul mates I love to photograph! When the morning of their nuptials arrived, I was eager to start taking photos of what I knew was going to be spectacular. I was blown away by all the effort they had put into small details, the arch over the alter in the little white chapel they had said their I-do’s and the gorgeous stationery that the bride had designed herself.
This laid back couple had the perfect day – and I’m not just talking about the weather! They had so much fun together and really love joking around. As the one bridesmaid said in her speech, Bianca is a comedian by nature and a creative by heart. Tears were shed as she walked down the aisle because everyone in that chapel knew that they belonged together. Waiting at the end of the aisle was her favourite person in the whole world, Marcel. The anticipation on his face was a moment to treasure forever!
I will always remember the warmth and friendliness with which these two welcomed me and my husband, Lourens, at their engagement session and wedding. It felt like I was documenting the love story of two old friends and I am so thankful for that! After some heartfelt speeches, tears of happiness and love and loads of laughing, they danced the night away with their guests.
PS: I’m feeling incredibly lucky to have been a part of this one and to start off the new wedding season with such a bang ♥
