DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS?

Absolutely! I am based in Cape Town, South Africa, but have a very strong wanderlust and plan on seeing the whole world with my camera.

DO YOU SHOOT DIGITAL OR FILM?

I shoot only in digital.

DO YOU HAVE BACKUP EQUIPMENT?

Yes I always have a back-up when shooting weddings.

HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU NEED FOR CERTAIN PHOTOS?

Please contact me for a comprehensive timing guide.

HOW DO I MAKE A BOOKING?

Contact me for pricing and availability, select your package, I will then send you a quotation/invoice and my contract to sign. Once that is settled along with the 50% non-refundable booking fee, consider me your photographer for the day!

HOW LONG BEFORE MY WEDDING SHOULD I BOOK?

This depends on you, but I do suggest to book 6-12 months in advance avoiding disappointment.

HOW DO ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS WORK?

Engagements are one of my favourite parts of the job! A date can be set as soon as you have booked me for your wedding and they usually take place on Sundays-Fridays. It is a relaxed and casual photo session that lasts up to 1½ hours that we get to know each other and it is also great to have these photos as an additional to the wedding photographs.

CAN YOU ALSO TAKE PHOTOS OF THE GROOM GETTING READY?

Your wedding day is equally about both of you and with careful schedule planning, I would love to photograph the groom getting ready if time and location allows for this.

WHAT IF WE ARE NOT COMFORTABLE BEING PHOTOGRAPHED?

A lot of people have never been photographed professionally before their wedding day and this is okay! As a professional I make subtle posing suggestions to put you at ease and try to keep the posed shots to a bare minimum.

DO YOU TAKE TABLE SHOTS?

I try to get some table shots throughout the night, but this is not always possible with guests moving around the venue. I also take candid photographs of guests having fun on the night.

HOW LONG BEFORE WE CAN GET THE PHOTOS FROM YOU?

This process can take anywhere between 6-8 weeks.

DO YOU OFFER COFFEE TABLE BOOKS?

Yes I do! They are professionally laid out and printed on semi-gloss pages, bound with a personalised hard cover or genuine leather cover. Please see my Albums page for more information.

DO YOU USE LIGHTING EQUIPMENT?

I love shooting with natural light, but will use lighting where it is necessary like at a dimly lit reception area.

DO YOU WORK WITH AN ASSISTANT?

Yes I do. It would be highly appreciated if you could organise seating for the both of us.

HOW DO YOU TAKE THE FORMAL FAMILY GROUP PHOTOS?

Due to time constraints on the day, please ensure that they will all know who they are and where to go. It is best to give the MC a list so that he can announce this at the end of the ceremony. You will also need to write a list with names and relations for me so that I know how to structure these photos.

ARE ALL YOUR WEDDINGS FEATURED ON THE BLOG?

As a one-person business, I don’t always get time to blog every wedding and can unfortunately not promise that your wedding will appear on my blog.

HOW CAN WE HELP MAKE THE PHOTOGRAPHS GREAT?

Please take time to consider the little details that will be part of your wedding day, as these make a massive difference to the photographs – from the place you get ready to the lighting at the reception. I also suggest using an on-the-day coordinator so that you are relaxed, and not running around adding last minute decor touches.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE WEDDING DAY?

It takes 6-8 weeks to get the images ready for you. Once I am done, I will organise a collection date with you to collect your wedding box containing 2 personalised DVD’s of high resolution jpegs that are ready for print and smaller copies of these jpegs that are ready for social media. The amount of images specified in my packages is a minimum as I usually end up handing over at least a 100 more!

DO YOU ONLY PHOTOGRAPH WEDDINGS?

Although I specialise in wedding photography, I love photographing all people! That means engagement, couple and family type shoots as well. The possibilities are endless!
